Workshop on the Collective Management of Copyrights in the Republic of Moldova
About the Event
Under the EU4IP action, the roundtable workshop on the ‘Collective Management of Copyrights in the Republic of Moldova’ aims to bring together European experts and local stakeholders to discuss and enhance the practices of collective copyright management. This event is a key component of the efforts to strengthen the legal and institutional framework for intellectual property in Moldova. It aligns with the commitments made through the Association Agreement and the European Union accession process.
Objectives of the Workshop
The main objective of the workshop is to facilitate constructive dialogue among different stakeholders, including government representatives, collective management organisations, content creators, and copyright users. Through technical discussions and the exchange of best practices, the event aims to:
- Improve transparency and governance within Moldova’s collective management organisations.
- Explore effective methods of collecting and distributing remuneration for rights holders.
- Identify solutions for specific challenges related to the implementation of copyright laws in Moldova.
