JAPAN Intellectual Property Information Fair & Conference
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), within the framework of the EU–Japan Intellectual Property Action (EU–Japan IPA), participated in the Japan Patent Information Fair & Conference 2026, held from 16 to 18 September 2026 in Tokyo. Organised by the Japan Institute for Promoting Invention and Innovation (JIII), the event is recognised as Japan’s largest intellectual property exhibition and conference, bringing together IP professionals, business representatives, legal practitioners, researchers and technology providers to discuss the latest developments in patents, trade marks, designs and intellectual property management.
The conference placed a particular focus on the use of artificial intelligence in intellectual property management, IP data analysis and innovation strategies, providing participants with practical insights into emerging technologies and regulatory developments affecting IP users.
The event offered an important platform for dialogue between European and Japanese stakeholders on current trends in intellectual property. Through its participation, the EU–Japan IP Action contributed to raising awareness of EU IP initiatives and strengthening cooperation between the European Union and Japan on innovation, digital transformation and intellectual property management.
