CarIPI participates on the V Project Steering Committee Meeting

At the fifth Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of 9 February 2024, in Bridgetown, Barbados, the CARIFORUM Innovation and Intellectual Property Project (CarIPI) project presented a summary report on the part it played in the 11th European Development Fund Support Programme. In addition, it presented a schedule and gave timelines for the activities it has planned for 2024.

Updates on the Implementation of the European Partnership Agreement (EPA) by CARIFORUM States and the current status of the 11th European Development Fund support to CARIFORUM States are discussed twice a year during the PSC meeting. The goal is to ensure that the EPA commitments are met, and that the participating States are able to derive meaningful benefits from the agreement.

During the presentation, the CarIPI IP expert and Activity Coordinator, Dr Wendy Hollingsworth presented the status of the project implementation, including progress made under each of the work packages, lessons learned, challenges encountered and mitigating measures, and communication and visibility actions.

The CarIPI project will come to an end on 30 April 2024.
