Support in drafting and implementing modernised IP laws

The aim of this activity is to provide legal assistance to three CARIFORUM states in updating the design laws. The work currently underway with the Office of St. Kitts and Nevis is providing assistance to develop a design model law and regulations. CarIPI has provided Grenada’s IP office with advice on the state’s draft Industrial Design Bill of 2015 and discussions on this are currently taking place. Finally, after assisting Suriname in drafting its Industrial Property Bill (which included design law), CarIPI will provide further assistance in developing the country’s design legislation and regulations.
