Promotional workshop on designs and utility models for ARIPO

In line with ARIPO’s mission of ‘fostering creativity and innovation for economic growth in Africa’, it is important to provide training and raise awareness in the ARIPO Member States, and in Africa in general, on the benefits of creating and registering industrial designs and utility models, and the effectiveness of the ARIPO regional IP system for the registration and maintenance of IPRs across the ARIPO region and in Africa as a whole.

The objectives of this activity are to:

• raise awareness of industrial designs and utility models;

• promote the ARIPO regional system for the registration of industrial designs and utility models; and

• to provide training on industrial designs and utility models.
