Participation in Regional Seminar on Intellectual Property for Latin American Judges

AL-INVEST Verde IPR and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) will participate in the Regional Seminar on Intellectual Property for Latin American Judges, organised by the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO), the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID), in collaboration with the Spanish General Council of the Judiciary (CGJP). The seminar aims to enhance the knowledge and cooperation of judges and prosecutors on intellectual property rights (IPRs) in cases involving police, customs and other relevant IP enforcement authorities.

The participation of AL-INVEST Verde IPR will consist in attendance of the event by the project leader as well as an expert from the Boards of Appeal (BoA) of the EUIPO. Particularly in the module about industrial designs to discuss the nature and scope of designs, scope of protection, registrable and non-registrable designs, rights deriving from protection and limits and exceptions, as well as recent developments in the designs field.
