Strengthening quality assurance mechanisms and ensuring impartiality in testing and registration are key to improving confidence and uptake.

Capacity building for the registration and promotion of agricultural, craft and industrial geographical indications in Armenia

Under the EU–Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Armenia is committed to approximating its legal and institutional frameworks with EU standards, including in the field of IP and Geographical Indications (GIs). The national legal framework on GIs in Armenia provides a basis for registration and protection, but further alignment with EU practices is needed to enhance interoperability and support Armenian producers in accessing EU markets.
