Led by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the Green Gateway webinars held on 26 and 27 September 2024 provided Brazilian businesses with valuable insights on using intellectual property (IP) rights to promote sustainable trade with the European Union (EU).
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) organised a two-day webinar on Leveraging Intellectual Property for Sustainable Growth and Competitiveness on 19 and 20 September 2024 in the context of the EU-funded IP cooperation project AL-INVEST Verde IPR.
The event is organised by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) by means of the EU-funded IP cooperation project AL-INVEST Verde IPR, in close collaboration with the national IP offices of the MERCOSUR countries and Chile.
The main topic of this session is the development, implementation, maintenance and governance of Guidelines for examination of trade marks. Objectives include enhancing intellectual property management in Latin America and contributing to improved operational excellence in core IPO processes.

Following a competitive selection process involving agri-food producer groups from different regions in Paraguay, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the co-funding and implementing agency of the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project financed by the European Commission, and the National Intellectual Property Directorate of Paraguay (DINAPI), announced the selected producer group to receive specialised mentoring support to optimise the use of geographical indications (GIs):
