The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the National Directorate of Intellectual Property of Paraguay (DINAPI) have successfully concluded the integration of DINAPI’s trade mark data in TMview on 15 December 2025.
The National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) of Brazil and EUIPO (through the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project) have released the ‘Intellectual Property Guide for Exporters – European Union (EU)’ to support Brazilian exporters with intellectual property (IP) protection in the EU. The Guide is part of INPI Brazil’s ‘IP Guides for Exporters’ series and was prepared by INPI with the technical collaboration of experts of the EU-funded project AL-INVEST Verde IPR implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has successfully completed the provision of technical assistance to Paraguay’s National Directorate of Intellectual Property (DINAPI) through the EU-funded AL-INVEST Verde IPR project. Implemented between April and November 2025, the activity consisted in the elaboration of a comprehensive study on the modernization of the Paraguayan Designs Law No. 868/81.
Brasília, 26-27 November 2025 – The latest edition of Operation 404, one of the world’s largest coordinated actions against online copyright infringement, has once again demonstrated the power of IP cooperation in the fight against digital piracy.
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), through the EU-funded project AL-INVEST Verde IPR, published the ‘Compendium of Trade Mark Case Law in the MERCOSUR countries and Chile’. It provides an important reference resource to strengthen the consistent application and enforcement of intellectual property (IP) rights in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
On 31 October, the closing event of the VISEC (Sectoral Vision of the Gran Chaco) mentorship, implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) through the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project, was held. The initiative aimed to strengthen the soy and beef value chains in Argentina through the strategic use of intellectual property (IP), in line with EU sustainability requirements.
From 22 to 24 October 2025, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), through the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project, hosted a high-level delegation at its headquarters in Alicante, Spain from the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) of Brazil led by its President.
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in collaboration with sequa, the Ibero-American Foundation for Public Administration and Policy (FIAP), and the International Italo-Latin American Organisation (IILA), hosted the annual event of the AL-INVEST Verde programme, #CONEXIÓNVerde+, in Medellín, Colombia from 6-11 October.
São Paulo, 7 October 2025 – The second day of the AL-INVEST Verde IPR closing event, placed a strong emphasis on strengthening cooperation among judges and enforcement authorities from Latin America and Europe in the field of intellectual property (IP). The high-level event opened with remarks from the São Paulo School of Magistrates (EPM), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and the European Commission DG International Partnerships (INTPA), co-organisers of the event.
