The European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN) has created several common practices ensuring that applications for trade mark and design registrations, as well as examination, are consistent across EU national and regional IP offices. Besides those adopted in 2020, Sakpatenti has expressed interest in exploring the adoption of new trade mark and design practices available for non-EU IP offices.
Further to the development and adoption of the design guidelines initiated in 2020, Sakpatenti examiners and intellectual property users were trained on the correct application and interpretation of the different provisions of the guidelines.
The EUGIPP main achievements will be presented during a policy-level event gathering stakeholders in the third trimester of 2021.
