CarIPI 1st sub-PSC meeting and IP seminar

The Sub-Project Steering Committee of CarIPI held its first meeting on 27 January 2020 in Bridgetown, Barbados.

On this occasion, high level officials of the Intellectual Property Offices of CARIFORUM and the CARIFORUM Directorate met with representatives of the European Commission and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), to discuss and solidify their cooperation in the field of intellectual property (IP) for the years to come.

The main output of the meeting was the adoption of the first Annual Work Plan (AWP1) of the CarIPI project.

Cuba joins TMview and DesignView

The Cuban Office of Industrial Property (OCPI) made its trade mark and design data available to the TMview and DesignView search tools on 9 December 2019.

TMview now contains data from 72 participating offices, and DesignView contains data from 71 participating offices.

Partners

The main CarIPI partners are the IP Offices and EPA coordinators of Antigua & Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Kitts and Nevis, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Cuba, and the CARIFORUM Directorate.

In addition, the project is in constant consultation with other key stakeholders in the region such as:
