Georgian representatives to participate in the IP Case Law Conference 2022

Georgian judges and representatives from the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti), with the support of the EU-Georgian Intellectual Property Project (EUGIPP), will attend the IP Case Law Conference at the EUIPO premises in Alicante on 7 and 8 July 2022. This event is organised by the Boards of Appeal of the EUIPO in cooperation with the EUIPO Academy on a biannual basis, and will be held this year in hybrid format. Several other participants from Sakpatenti will join the conference remotely from Georgia.

The conference, which marks the 25th anniversary of the Boards of Appeal, will bring together leading intellectual property experts from multiple jurisdictions, representing a broad spectrum of professional interests. During the event, Georgian stakeholders will actively participate in interactive discussions and panel debates on the challenges and developments in IP case-law and legislation.

EUGIPP also supported the participation of Georgian representatives during the 2020 edition of the IP Case Law Conference, which was held entirely online due to travel restrictions linked to Covid-19.
