Support to IP enforcement network in Georgia

In order to improve the quality of actions taken by enforcement authorities and judges, the cooperation between the different IP practitioners in the country (i.e. judges, enforcement authorities and rights holders) should be intensified.

Therefore, the project will support a specific enforcement network under the coordination mandate of Sakpatenti and with the personal participation of judges, prosecutors, investigators and patent attorneys. Under this network all relevant issues related to enforcement of IPRs (from legal interpretation to the adoption of IP practices or tools) will be analysed and discussed with the purpose of strengthening the IP system in the country.

Sakpatenti will strengthen the existing enforcement network by enhancing the role and participation in IP matters of judges, prosecutors, investigators and patent attorneys.
