Sakpatenti to develop IP scan services

On 2 March 2022, Sakpatenti officials, supported by EUGIPP, will meet with specialists on IP and innovation to launch the development of IP pre-diagnostic (IP Scan) specifically designed for Georgian SMEs.

IP pre-diagnostics are one of the key elements in building an IP strategy. This activity will provide training in how to assess the requirements of an SME in terms of intellectual property rights (IPRs).

The training programme will cover a variety of topics, such as IPRs and soft IP, IP internationalisation and commercialisation, as well as IP and innovation. Throughout a series of online sessions, Sakpatenti staff will receive practical training in how to deliver IP pre-diagnostics services for SMEs and how to guide those companies towards making the most effective choice to protect their IPRs.

After identifying the main objectives and challenges, the meeting will pave the way to build up IP Scan services within Sakpatenti for the benefit of Georgian users.
