EUGIPP Project Management team visits Sakpatenti’s premises in Georgia
On 29-30 June 2022, the Project Management team of the EU-Georgia Intellectual Property Project (EUGIPP) visited the premises of The National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – Sakpatenti’s premises in Tbilisi, Georgia to discuss the state of play of their shared activities. This was the first on-site visit since the pandemic.
Nino Chikovani (acting Head of Sakpatenti) welcomed Martin Marianov (Project Leader, EUGIPP) and Andrea Iori (Project Officer, EUGIPP). Together, they discussed the status of the project so far and the planning for the remaining year of its implementation. After this meeting, the EUGIPP team took the opportunity to meet representatives from different departments of Sakpatenti’s office and to learn more about their work.
The EUGIPP team also took advantage of the visit to meet with the EU’s Delegation to Georgia. The purpose of this meeting was to review the past activities and to acknowledge the main results achieved so far, as well as to exchange their views on the next Annual Work Plan. The meeting also helped enhance relations between the EUGIPP team and the EU delegation in view of maintaining a cooperative communication to successfully implement the project.
