Study on economic benefits of IP in Georgia

Based on the necessity of assessing the current impact of IP rights on the Georgian economy, this study will specifically target the reality within Georgia and will consider all relevant factors influencing the protection and enforcement of IP in Georgia.

The study will focus on the role played by IP rights in companies operating in Georgia at different levels. It will assess the level of importance of IP rights in the Georgian economy and what benefits they bring to companies of different sizes (IPR-intensive industries, SMEs, etc.).

Depending on the outcome of the assessment, specific follow-up measures can be implemented favour economic development and to validate possible actions by the legislator.
