Policy-level stakeholder event to promote importance of IPR

The objective of this activity is to promote the achievements of EUGIPP by highlighting the benefits it will bring to the Georgian IP system. The event aims to bring together IPR users, enforcement practitioners and national media to discuss the importance and value of IP, as well as the negative effects and risks related to counterfeiting and piracy.

The proposed activity would also be an opportunity to raise the overall awareness of the Georgian public and relevant stakeholders about the risks associated to the consumption of counterfeit products from the consumer’s point of view and how this contributes to international crime organisations.

The event will contribute to strengthening existing relations between the EU and Georgia and will underline the EUIPO’s support to the EU-Georgia Association Agenda on IP-related matters based on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA).
