This activity consists of a comparative analysis of the EU and Georgian legislations. The analysis will cover best practices on IP rights enforcement and will assess the degree of convergence of the two legislations. The ultimate goal is to propose legal amendments and facilitate the convergence of the Georgian enforcement rules with European norms.
This activity will also support in drafting enforcement guidelines, to ensure harmonisation of enforcement practices in Georgia for an effective and efficient application of IP legislation. This reflects the strategic need for capacity-building among national enforcement authorities such as customs, police, public prosecutors, and courts dealing with IP cases.
