Participation in Seminar on Geographical Indications and Collective Trademarks
AL-INVEST Verde IPR participates in the Panel "Sustainability and Performance of Geographical Indications" during the event: Origens Brasileiras - V International Event on Geographical Indications and Collective Trademarks in Curitiba, Paraná.
The event is organized by the Brazilian Service of Support to Micro and Small Enterprises - SEBRAE; the National Institute of Industrial Property - INPI Brazil; the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply - MAPA; the World Intellectual Property Organization - WIPO; and the Brazilian Association of Geographical Indications - ABRIG.
The objective of the seminar is to disseminate and promote Brazilian regions and new businesses, focusing on the valorization of products or services of geographical indications (GI) and collective marks (CM), recognized for their differentiation and quality, and the exchange of international experiences. The priority target audience are producers and companies linked to geographical indications and collective marks; companies in the trade of differentiated products, influencers and final consumers, as well as other audiences such as managers, consultants, technicians, experts, teachers and students on the topics of GIs and CMs.
During the Panel on December 9, the leader of AL-INVEST Verde IPR Mariano Riccheri presents the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project and its activities related to geographical indications. Other speakers of the panel moderated by SEBRAE are from the National Institute of Origin and Quality (INAO) of France, the Organization for an International Geographical Indications Network (oriGIn) and coffee from the Cerrado Mineiro region in Brazil.
