IPR Conference 2025 in Seoul: IP Strategies in the Age of AI

The EU-RoK IP Action, the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) co-organised the ‘IPR Conference 2025: IP Strategies in the Age of AI’ on 9 September in Seoul. The conference brought together public and private sector representatives to discuss AI-driven IP protection strategies and EU-Korea collaboration in combating online infringements. The conference featured presentations from businesses, professionals and academia from Europe and Korea, with the active involvement of the Korean Intellectual Property Association (KINPA) and the Korean Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA).

Emphasising private-sector innovation, the event highlighted the need for cooperation among industry but also between private and public sector to strengthen digital IP governance and addressing the enforcement challenges amid rapid technological changes.
