The EUIPO Supports International Dialogue on Youth and Innovation in the Republic of Moldova
Through the EU-funded EU4IP project, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) supported the 19th edition of the International Innovation Conference. This year, the theme was ‘Youth, Technology and IP: Innovating Tomorrow Today’, organised by the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova.
Held between 3 and 5 December 2025 in Chișinău, Moldova, within the framework of the International Specialised Exhibition INFOINVENT-2025, the Conference brought together inventors, researchers, businesses, policymakers and international organisations, including the World Intellectual Property Organization, the European Patent Office and other intellectual property (IP) offices, to exchange views on the role of IP in fostering innovation and sustainable development.
The event promoted IP education, international dialogue and youth empowerment, encouraging participants to explore how IP can help transform ideas into impactful technological, economic and social solutions. Discussions focused on the role of IP in accelerating youth entrepreneurship, integrating IP into education systems, and highlighting success stories from across Europe and beyond.
The EUIPO contributed its expertise in IP education and awareness-raising, drawing on initiatives led by the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights. Through its participation, the EUIPO underlined the importance of equipping young innovators with the knowledge and tools to protect their creativity and foster innovation-driven growth.
The Conference demonstrated Moldova’s continued commitment to advancing innovation and youth development through effective IP use, while reinforcing the EUIPO’s support for cooperation and building inclusive and knowledge-based innovation systems.
